This is Nazrin AKA Yin.
Last week, the whole country was searching for him.
The put up posters on the street, the media reported on the search everyday.
The parents couldn’t sleep, thinking what might have happened to him and also receiving harsh, unhelpful comments from the public.
Yin and his parents are SUPER DUPER LUCKY that this story has a happy ending (at least for them). My husband’s friend told us a story not long ago, about how his friend lost his child in a mall. They eventually found the child later - about a year later to be precise. Happy ending? Not so happy - the toddler lost both hands and probably legs also if I’m not mistaken and he was forced to beg on the street. Can you imagine that happening to your child?
Nazri is very strict when it comes to taking Adam to the mall. (Usually if it’s not necessary we just leave him at home.) Adam must wear a wrist strap if he wants to walk instead of sitting in the stroller. You see, Adam is a very naughty and playful kid; he would run and run and expect us to catch him. Sometimes he would hide among the clothing, behind the counter etc. It was all a game to him but a nightmare for Nazri and me, and my maid. Adam doesn’t like the strap but heck - what do I care! It’s better than losing him and then make the whole country search for him later.
I can stand Adam crying and throwing tantrums because he wants to be released from the strap, but what I can’t stand is the stare I get from some section of the public. I know what they are thinking - "eh apa la orang tu ikat tangan anak dia macam anjing". I’m not holding the strap like I’m walking a dog! I’m also tied to the strap at the other end. But Malaysians like to pass judgments. And oh boy they love to stare at us with that disgusted looks on their faces too!
Judge all you want, I don’t want to lose my child only to find him limbless years later begging on the street. Now people are calling me where did I get that strap from because they want to buy one.
I bought it at Mothercare,
not at a pet store ok!

yelaa..ignore what people say..the most important is adam x lost…hehehehe
